22@ Transformation
The 22@ Campus is located between Avenida Diagonal and Tanger, Roc Boronat, Almogavers and Ciutat de Granada streets and is one of the six municipal initiative projects within the scope of the 22@ plan for the transformation of the Poblenou manufacturing district into a technological district of Barcelona.
The project in which Magourban collaborated, offering technical advice and its products, designed with the Campus modular concrete bench, which has concave and convex pieces.
The combination and concatenation of these two elements has made it possible to create curved and sinuous shapes, as well as to create garden and play spaces in the form of small roundabouts.
These curved landscaped spaces are energy self-sufficient and are intended to be a counterpoint to the verticality of the buildings that make up the enclosure.
The recovery of energy from the life cycle of water, vegetation and electricity are fundamental concepts of the campus.
Custom designs
In addition, Magourban design team developed a custom-designed kerb to continue with the Campus bench line, reusing and taking advantage of the bench manufacturing process.
